Portipedia is a resource created by -- and maintained by -- cruise travelers and destination experts.

The goal of portipedia is to provide cruise passengers with the information and resources they need to make the most of their time in port destinations worldwide.

Portipedia functions like Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia) in that it is collaboratively written by volunteers from around the globe.

Visitors are free to add and edit articles without fear of damaging Portipedia. A community of editors, including you, will advise or correct errors.

[edit] Here's how you can contribute.

1) Type in a destination/port in the search box and click GO.

2) If a page already exists, feel free to edit and add to that page. Every page has a link that allows you to "edit this page." If possible, please provide references to information you add to a page.

3) If no page exists, please create a page. Refer to our template for advice on how to formulate your page.

4) Don't worry. Portipedia is based on software that allows for easy reversal of mistakes.

5) Save your changes. Congratulations! You are now a portipedian.
